Stephen W. George, D.M.D.

Dr. Stephen George joins our team after serving 7 years in the US Navy as a general dentist. He developed his knowledge and skill working extensively under specialist mentorship treating Sailors, Marines and their families in Okinawa, Japan, Wounded Warriors at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland and most recently, active duty military here in Corpus Christi and Kingsville, Texas. He is proud to have served his country in this way and was particularly honored to be involved in treating Wounded Warriors and giving back to those who served and lost so much on the front lines answering our nation’s call.

Dr. George grew up in Oregon where he fell in love with and married his high school sweetheart, Mary Anne. They have been married now for over 21 years and are looking forward to this new season in life. He graduated from Oregon State University with a BS in Civil Engineering and worked for 8 years in the wood manufacturing industry before opting to return to school to pursue a career in dentistry. Switching careers was a difficult decision, however, driven by a desire to improve others’ health and lives in an artistic way and a desire to excel and advance in education. It is one he and his family sacrificed to make.

In 2012 he graduated in the top of his class from Oregon Health and Sciences School of Dentistry. Since then he has participated in several humanitarian and mission trips inside and outside of the military, providing dental care and education to disadvantaged peoples throughout Asia and Australia.

Today Dr. George spends most his spare time involved in the sports and activities of his 5 children, 4 of whom are recently adopted from the Philippines. The family is actively involved in their local church and they enjoy the beach and he looks forward to fishing and getting his kids involved in the myriad of water activities that South Texas has to offer.
